Michelle Jones Is Proudly Offering In-Person And Online Therapy In Reynoldsburg And Columbus, OH

Michelle Jones is a Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. She opened the doors of Liberty Counseling & Consultation LLC June of 2017 after spending her career working for non-profit organizations, correctional institutions, private practices and addiction treatment centers.  With over 20 years of experience as a social worker, Michelle has worked with a broad spectrum of clients to include individuals in crisis, those with special needs, behavioral challenges, addiction, mental illness, and persons having experienced trauma, 

Michelle received her Bachelor’s of Social Worker Degree from Capital University (Columbus, Ohio) in 1994 and her Masters of Social Work from The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio) in 2014.  She obtained her LISW (Ohio) in 2016 and her LICDC (Ohio) in 2015. Michelle's training includes but is not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care and Community Reinforcement Approach.  Additionally, Michelle enjoys providing faith based counseling to individuals who desire this.

At Liberty Counseling & Consultation Michelle is often called upon to support individuals of all ages who are experiencing grief, addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. Areas of interest for Michelle are dismantling the stigma associated with mental illness and engaging underserved populations in behavioral healthcare-particularly African Americans and the faith community.  

Michelle's professional goals include offering EMDR Therapy in the near future.  Michelle also has plans to expand her practice to include additional therapists and support personnel. Michelle continues to stay current in the field of psychotherapy through on-going training workshops, seminars, personal study and clinical supervision.
